Frequently Asked Questions
Got questions? We've got answers. Here are the most common questions we hear from sellers.
Getting Started
How do I get started?
+
Fill out the quote request form for the service you need — FBA prep or ecommerce fulfillment. We'll respond within 24 hours with a custom quote. Once accepted, we'll send onboarding and shipping instructions to get you set up.
Is there a startup or monthly recurring fee?
+
There is a one-time new client setup fee that covers account creation, onboarding, and system configuration — for the current amount, see the Other Fees section on our Pricing page. There is no ongoing monthly fee.
Do you accept new/small sellers?
+
Yes! We work with businesses of all sizes — from online arbitrage sellers sending a few units to wholesale sellers, private label brands, and DTC businesses scaling their fulfillment. There are no volume minimums at PrepMeisters.
Do you work with international sellers?
+
Yes! We work with sellers from around the world. Your supplier can ship directly to our facility, and we'll handle everything from there.
What is your pricing?
+
Our pricing is simple and transparent with no hidden fees or surprises. Visit our Pricing page for current rates covering both FBA prep and ecommerce fulfillment. Actual pricing varies by your volume tier, inventory profile, and services needed. For FBA prep, you can also use our Calculator page to get a quick estimate based on your specific needs.
FBA Prep
Do I need to give you access to my Seller Central or Inventory Lab account?
+
Yes, but at a very restricted level. We need "Process User" level permissions to print product labels, enter weight and expiration dates, print shipping labels, and complete shipments on your behalf. This ensures your shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. We will NOT have access to any proprietary information such as sales volume, financials, or other sensitive data.
What is your FBA prep turnaround time?
+
Our standard FBA prep turnaround is 24–48 hours from the time we receive your inventory to when it ships out to Amazon. Need it faster? We offer Rush Shipping to guarantee a 24-hour turnaround — see our Pricing page for details.
Do you accept pallets and/or process pallet shipments?
+
Yes, we accept pallets. We receive pallet shipments from your suppliers and can also palletize your outbound LTL shipments to Amazon or other destinations.
What product categories do you handle?
+
We handle most product categories including books, toys, home goods, electronics, health & beauty, apparel, shoes, and more. We do not currently handle fresh grocery, perishable goods, items over 50 lbs, or items exceeding 24″×20″×18″. Contact us if you have questions about specific product types.
Is there a minimum invoice for FBA prep?
+
Yes — FBA prep shipments have a $75 minimum invoice per shipment. This applies to each individual shipment we process, regardless of unit count. There are no volume minimums for FBA prep.
Ecommerce Fulfillment
How does ecommerce fulfillment work?
+
Once onboarded, your inventory ships to our facility where we receive, inspect, and store it. When an order comes in through your sales channel, we pick, pack, and ship it — typically the same day for orders received before 3PM EST. You get real-time visibility into inventory levels and order status throughout.
What platforms do you support for ecommerce fulfillment?
+
We support all major ecommerce platforms including Shopify, eBay, Etsy, Amazon FBM, and your own direct channels. Contact us to discuss integration options for your specific platform.
What is the cutoff time for same-day fulfillment?
+
Orders received by 3PM EST are shipped the same day. Orders received after 3PM ship the following business day.
Do you support branded packaging and custom inserts?
+
Yes. We can fulfill orders in your branded packaging and include custom inserts such as thank-you cards, promotional materials, or product instructions. Just provide the packaging materials and inserts and we'll handle the rest.
How do you handle DTC returns?
+
We process customer returns on your behalf. Returned items are inspected, photographed, and dispositioned per your instructions — whether that's restocking, quarantine, return to supplier, or liquidation.
How does shipping work for ecommerce orders?
+
You have two options. We can ship orders using your own shipping account configured in your sales channel — at no additional charge. Alternatively, you can use our shipping account and benefit from our carrier rates, with a small per-shipment admin fee. See our Pricing page for details.
Operations
How can I track my inventory and get updates?
+
We provide real-time inventory visibility through a shared file where you can see all shipment information, status updates, and photos at any time. We also provide updates via email and direct messaging.
Can my supplier ship directly to you?
+
Yes! Your supplier, wholesaler, or manufacturer can ship inventory directly to our facility. Just provide them with our address and let us know the shipment details so we can receive and process it promptly.
What happens if items arrive damaged or missing?
+
We inspect all incoming shipments and document any damage or discrepancies with photos. We'll notify you immediately so you can file a claim with your supplier or carrier. Damaged items are set aside and handled according to your instructions.
Do you handle returns processing?
+
Yes! We process returns for both FBA prep clients and ecommerce fulfillment clients. For marketplace returns, we inspect and disposition items per your instructions. For DTC returns, we receive, inspect, and restock or disposition based on item condition and your preferences.
Do you offer storage services?
+
Yes, we offer short-term storage in our secure facility. The first week is free — see our Pricing page for current storage rates. This is useful whether you're staging inventory before an FBA shipment or maintaining stock for ongoing DTC fulfillment.
General
Do you offer insurance on stored inventory?
+
We carry commercial insurance covering our facility and equipment. If you need specific coverage for your inventory value, please contact us to discuss your needs.
How does payment work?
+
We accept ACH bank transfers, Zelle, Venmo, and credit card payments. For FBA prep, payment is due upon completion before inventory ships out. For ecommerce fulfillment clients, we invoice weekly. Established clients with consistent volume across both services can also be set up on weekly invoicing.
